Yesterday we celebrated Pentecost. Let's continue to be in the word and build our lives on it. Let's respond to His challenge by being in the word together and striving all the more to put it into practice.

As we read God's word together apart, here's our prayer:

Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, grant, we pray, that we might be grounded and settled in your truth by the coming of your Holy Spirit into our hearts. What we do not know, reveal to us; what is lacking within us, make complete; that which we do know, confirm in us; and keep us blameless in your service, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please read the passage each day, and answer the question either in your own mind, discuss with your family, write in a journal, post a comment below, email RevKev, etc.

Acts 2:1-41 (6-1-2020)
As you read the account of Pentecost ask God to show you something you hadn’t seen before about the text, about your life, or about the way you interact with Him.

Acts 8:21 (6-2-2020)
As you consider the context of these words, spend some introspective moments, how is God directing you? What is He teaching you? What parts of you need to surrender to the Lord, so you can serve?

Luke 3:21-22 (6-3-2020)
What is the significance of the Holy Spirit descending on Jesus?

John 14 (6-4-2020)
In this chapter Jesus fortifies His followers and challenges them to do what He has said. What in this chapter strikes you? What makes you wonder? Does it offer you hope?

Matthew 28:17-20 (6-5-2020)
We probably all know this text, or think we do. Look for something new. Ask God to connect it to you in a new way.
